Yes, Compass did have my contact information on file. Its absolutely ridiculous that they essentially froze my account, denied me access to my money and didnt give me so much as a courtesy phone call. Especially since it was fraud-related.

Well, All of this sounds bad in the context that you are putting it, BUT for example, the first post, have you updated your phone number and email adress with your bank? Also, did you sign up for the no soliciting?
And for the third post, well its not really the banks fault that you and your husband failed to communicate. In this instance, well you and ur husband effed up by paying stuff and then not checking your balance. Also, most banks have a service called NSF alert. They will alert you via phone or text message if YOU give them the permission to do so by signing up for this FREE service.
Its easy to blame the bank when you eff up...

Ugh! That's a bummer :( I must say I've racked up a couple more Compass horror stories since I've posted this. They really lack customer service!!

I HATE COMPASS BANK too!
I wrote my rent check on a wednesday and on friday, it was cashed. My husband, trying to be sweet, paid our cable bill on the same day for $100+ which I had not budgeted for until wednesday the following week. ANYWAY, we were overdrawn as of Monday when weekend charges came through. Ont Tuesday morning, I went to transfer more money and found our account in ruins. We had been charged $418 in overdraft fees in 24 hours of tiny purchases: $3.75 at 7 Eleven BAM OVERDRAFT FEE... the list goes on. They did not call us until 1:00pm on TUESDAY after I had already dropped money into it. Then a week later, we received this little card in the mail notifying us that our account was overdrawn. How about calling us immediately when we were charged the first overdraft fee?!?! or how about an e-mail?! you have my e-mail address COMPASS! Today, I closed my accounts with no resistance from the account that I spoke with and no refunds.

=O Wow, that's really bad! I got a taste of it last August, when I was down visiting my friend in Tucson. I was astonished one sunny afternoon when almost immediately there was a torrential downpour. I'll never forget the sensation of walking across the street filled with warm water (that came up to to my shins).
