Loving the Journey

Thank goodness for extended car warranties that include rental car coverage.. because I would be up shit creek without a paddle if I didn’t have it! I bought a Dodge Magnum (sexy I know) last year, and it has been back and forth from the dealership getting warranty stuff done on it, so I have been rolling around in a rental on and off for a couple months now. Usually I HATE when I have to drive a rental, because compared to my beautiful Magnum, they are all garbage. But this last time I went.. Enterprise gave me a 2009 Dodge Journey!

It was love at first gear shift. I had never even heard of a Dodge Journey before. I guess it is supposed to be one of those “crossover” type vehicles.. with the frame of a car but the build of an SUV. My favorite feature was the glove box, because it had a little cooler for your drinks The more I drove it, the more curious I became, so I looked up some Dodge Journey Reviews online and it seemed to be a crowd favorite. I must say though, I was a little disappointed with the gas mileage. I get about 15mpg in my Magnum and that thing has a V8 Hemi! I was expecting at LEAST 16 mpg in this V6 Journey.. but nope. It stayed right around 15. I wonder if it has that Dodge engine displacement thing? Oh.. and I haven’t found one that comes in all leather. But when I do.. that bitch is mine! 8)
