Anyone who knows me is aware that I am ridiculously gung-ho about using natural products. I’ve found that cutting out the products I was using with icky ingredients has been so beneficial. Cutting the sulfates in my shampoo, not applying paraben-packed makeup, steam cleaning instead of chemical cleaning.. all of it has paid off. So when I discovered the icky ingredients that were hiding in my tube of toothpaste, I was on a search for a healthier alternative.

And then I found Tom’s Of Maine natural toothpaste! Not only is Tom’s a safer way to brush, my teeth and gums have never felt better. My teeth have always been very sensitive, even when using toothpaste aimed at sensitive teeth. I’ve found that switching to Tom’s, my teeth are starting to become more and more tolerant of hot and cold foods. And did I mention it tastes GREAT?

I just realized I never blogged about our September Vegas vacation. We stayed at a ridiculously beautiful hotel, Aria. It’s brand new and located at the Las Vegas City Center near Bellagio. I HIGHLY recommend it! Our room was just stunning. They put a big touch-screen remote control by your bed that lets you control the TV, curtains, temperature, lights, music, etc. The TV says your name on the screen too lol. OH and when you walk into the room for the first time after checking in, you open the door and the curtains automatically open, the lights turn on, the TV comes on and music starts playing LOL it’s a trip! If I could envision what sleeping on an orgasm would feel like, this bed was exactly that. Literally THE softest, plushest bed I’ve ever slept in. Oh and thre is a mini fridge with a $20 “romance kit” that includes 2 condoms, lube and moist towelettes lmao. 

While we were in Las Vegas we went on another one of those horrible time share presentations to get discounted show tickets. We did it last year and I don’t remember it being as bad.. it was BAD this time. They really try to guilt you into buying that shit. Anyhoo, we got some Criss Angel show tickets for taking the tour. If any of you are planning a Vegas trip anytime soon, please skip this show. It was so incredbly NOT worth it. We saw Lance Burton’s show at the Monte Carlo last year and it was 1831093x better. He drove a freaking car over the audience at the end for Christs’ sake. All Criss Angel did was disappear 40 times and fly some doves around the theatre.

We had better gambling luck last year too. I think we paid for the entire trip and then some. Yeah not so much this time lol Mike immediately lost $600 the first day and then decided he wasn’t gambling anymore the rest of the trip HAHA poor guy. But seriously I couldn’t win anything on the slots either! Last year I couldn’t LOSE. Booo. On our last day there we went to the PAWN STARS store which was awesome. Pics below! We went Labor Day weekend which was definitely not the best idea.. I’ll never be traveling on a holiday weekend ever again in my life lol. The plane was completely packed both ways.. so annoying I hate that. There is no point in getting there early to find a good seat when some stinky a-hole is forced to sit next to you anyways.

All in all it was a good trip. We went with some friends this time so that was fun. Pics below.. ciao!

We sat through a GOD AWFUL timeshare presentation to get some cheap show tickets lol. We saw Carrot Top, he is funny as hell. And at the very end he comes out almost naked, his body is fucking KILLER! But his face.. ehh.. that’s another story. I’d fuck him with a bag over his head though for sure. We also saw this show called Fantasy which has about 15 topless chicks dancing around for 2 hours. It was decent. Then we saw Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo who is a magician. Even though we had shitty balcony seats the show was pretty sweet. I wanted to see Cris Angel but he was on vacation the week we went

Another thing we got for sitting through the timeshare bullshit was a bunch of free passes to the hotel buffets. If you value your life.. please take my advice and stay AWAY from the Excalibur buffet. O M F G. It’s like $25 for the entire day and to be honest, I would have rather eaten dirty cigarrette butts from the sidewalk for lunch. The only thing edible was a pile of bananas. The next day we did the Luxor buffet which was a huge upgrade. But I’m not really a buffet person, I have never left any buffet thinking “WOW THAT WAS SO INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS I MUST EAT THERE AGAIN” so ya know. The last day we went to the MGM buffet which had all-you-can-eat crab legs. That made it worth it to me. But it was like $35 per person, so for two people after tax you’re looking at $70+ for a BUFFET dinner lol.

Let’s see.. we also saw the Bodies exhibit and the Titanic exhibit. Both were very cool. The bodies exhibit is a huge maze full of cadavers all cut up so you can see the human organs, bones, muscles, etc. The titanic exhibit was pretty much amazing. There are hundreds of artifacts displayed that were recovered from the ship. They also setup replicas of the rooms for 1st class, 2nd class and 3rd class. Before you enter, they give you a card with the name and story of one of the passengers and you find out at the end of the exhibit if you lived or died. It was very touching, I cried like a bitch

Oh and did you know Vegas has an entire 2 miles of road dedicated to bums? It’s pretty strange. We were just driving around downtown and all the sudden we see miles of tents setup alongside a chainlink fence. Some weren’t even tents, just a few bedsheets tied together like a fort. Poor Vegas bum village.

Man.. 2006 better be one hell of an improvement from last year. Now I’m not usually one to complain (haha), but lets recap Chelsey’s 2005 shall we:

* Mom goes insane & flees to another city.
* I Lose contact with siblings because of mom going insane
* The two most beloved people in my life, grandma & grandpa, pass away.
* The crooked ass government randomly stole $300 from one of my checks.
* I hit 100,000 on my car
* I never took a fucking vacation
